Jermayne embarked on a successful career as an educator. Her lengthy and diverse career in teaching and learning began at the Greensboro Day School under the tutelage of Mr. Bill Moore and progressed to Harlem, New York at an alternative high school school headed by Marilyn Quine. From the New York teaching experience Jermayne enrolled at DePaul simultaneously teaching in Gary, Indiana, completing an Urban Education Masters with empirical research. That led to additional public teaching (high school) as well college writing courses taught at National Louis University and Saint Augustine.
The experience and success Jermayne gained throughout a distinguished rated career allowed her to serve as a supervising teacher for student teachers (college students preparing for teaching careers), consult and mentor teachers, guiding them in the evaluation process, classroom management, and approaches to learning so that students at all levels are able to achieve.
Jermayne has state certification as well as additional training in IB, Great Books, Socratic teaching, and various other areas.
Specialized sessions in areas of restorative communication, classroom management, learning engagement, approaches for diverse and accelerated learners, differentiation, and other vital areas can be customized for schools and or districts.
